Within the projects QuerKlang, NACHHALL and QuerKlang goes Europe, school students deal with contemporary musical material. Musicians and music students guide school classes to develop and present their own composition. The aim is not only to broaden the students’ understanding of music, but also to give them a basic understanding of the process of composing. As a highlight, the compositions will be performed at the MaerzMusik – Festival für Zeitfragen | Berliner Festspiele.
QuerKlang is a prize winner at the competition “Kinder zum Olymp” as well as a finalist at “Mixed Up” 2015 and 2016 and at the “Yeah Award!” 2015. QuerKlang goes Europe aims to take the format beyond Germany to European schools.
