Stadtkultur

From 2015 to 2017, the project “Program Coordination for Urban Culture and Networking” was implemented, in which current urban developments and the existing cultural and artistic potential of the Mitte district were addressed. The role and significance of cultural connections were explored and the cooperation of cultural actors was initiated. It was also important to make cultural structures and resources for the co-design of public culture visible in order to strengthen artistic action in the urban space.

In addition to taking stock of cultural structures and offerings in the urban spaces of the Mitte district, various formats were offered to promote networking processes for cultural actors. These included the pop-up consulting platform, the Frühstücks Fern Sehen, and the micro-projects, which provided artists and cultural institutions with the financial framework to test cooperative, experimental, and new formats in the urban space.
